This memoir about gender, dysfunction, family and food is so beautifully written you will love falling into it whenever you have a spare moment. A queer gaze, a writer's attention to detail and lyricism, and a chef's attunement to the body and to aesthetic, makes this book a pleasure to read from the first to the last page. - MISIAN, Room Bookseller

We are so lucky to be alive at the same time as Claudia Rankine. I will read anything she writes and any book she blurbs. This book along with her many others proves she is canon. JUST US, like her previous book Citizen, combines prose and photographs to make the reader bare witness to system injustice and white supremacy. A deeply affecting book. You cannot read Claudia Rankine and not be changed. - MISIAN, Room Bookseller

Bryan Washington's debut novel is a blunt and contemplative guide through the many joys and miseries of love. He mashes together elements of gay romance, family saga, and millennial listlessness in surprising, gutting, and spectacular ways. I left a piece of my heart with these characters, and I'm sure you will too.- Sam, Room Bookseller

Ever inventive, and with startling warmth, Erlichman has written an altar to her bipolar medication, and to maybe bipolar itself, and to herself and her body. A beautiful book for anyone who understands how hard and brilliant a life and a brain can be. - MISIAN, Room Bookseller

This picture book is an utter delight! Two cousins go on a camping trip where they face newness, fear, curiosity, and awe. Wonderful illustrations. Would have been a fave of mine as a kid, is a fave of mine as an adult. Perfect for any 4-7 year old in your life -- or any adult looking to curate a picture library from themselves. - MISIAN, Room Bookseller

Anyone, and everyone, in movement work today needs this book. - MISIAN, Room Bookseller

Brilliant! Few times have I felt as vindicated as I did while imagining Clark's heroine, Maryse, lop off the heads of Ku Klux monsters. A thoughtful and well-paced read that punches white supremacy directly in the face, with style and grace. I will not pretend that I did not cry! - EILEEN, Room Bookseller

Concise and accessible, this small book is not only about the only thing I'm capable of reading in the brain-breaking year of 2020 but it is also a generous offering from adrienne maree brown to those in movement work. This little book is incomplete, and amb recognizes that, but the urgency of getting this information into the world as movements are unfolding and buckling across the globe was more important than completeness. I felt more capable of being in movement spaces and in conflict with comrades after reading this book. I felt more equipped than I had when I picked it up. I immediately bought three copies for three separate friends and mailed them next day. Is this book perfect? Nope. Is it imperative? Sure thing. - MISIAN, Room Bookseller

A beautifully queer romance of geographies that left me breathless, desperate to touch and be touched. - EILEEN, Room Bookseller

Highly bizarre novel about a woman's nonconformity mutating from intense, deadening alienation into something far more eerie. - SAM, Room Bookseller

It's never too late to befriend Simon Hanselmann's delirious and damaged creations. Speaking as somebody who has spent hours clicking through individual Megg Mogg & Owl strips buried in online archives, let me state that we are all lucky to have this psychedelic zine comic collected into book-length volumes. - SAM, Room Bookseller

Two newly orphaned siblings struggle to survive in the waning days of the Gold Rush in the western United States. The duo must reckon with the ghosts of their family history and the cruel whims of a hostile wilderness as they search for a place to belong. By the final pages I was completely heartbound to these characters, thanks to the overflowing tenacity and humanity with which debut novelist C Pam Zhang has written them.- SAM, Room Bookseller
