Nick Knittel, author of Good Things

Event date:
Thursday, March 14, 2013 - 6:30pm

A Room of One's Own is delighted to host local author Nick Knittel for a reading from his debut fiction collection, Good Things!

Nick Knittel enchants with stories as dark and moving as your favorite Bruce Springsteen song. Characters maneuver their way through not only a dead-end town, but a dead-end existence, chronicling what it’s like to be blue-collar and barely making it.

Nick Knittel, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, obtained his B.S. in communication from Ohio University. In 2011, he completed his MFA in fiction writing through Fairfield University. He is the first recipient of the Fairfield Book Prize, which is awarded to an outstanding manuscript written by a Fairfield MFA student. Good Things, a collection of short stories published by New Rivers Press, is Knittel’s first publication. He currently works as a medical editor and lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
