Authors of Gay Fiction Neal Wooten and Juliann Rich Read and Sign!

Event date:
Sunday, June 29, 2014 - 2:00pm

A Room of One's Own is delighted to present Juliann Rich and Neal Wooten, authors of new LGBT fiction coming out this year! Come hear them read from their works and support new stories for our community.

Minnesota writer Juliann Rich is a PFLAG mom who can be found walking Pride parades with her son. She is also the daughter of evangelical Christian parents. As such she has been caught in the crossfire of the most heated topic to challenge our society and our churches today. She is drawn to stories that shed light on the conflicts that arise when sexual orientation, spirituality, family dynamics and peer relationships collide. You can read more about her journey as an author and as an affirmative mom on her blog, The Rainbow Tree.

Neal Wooten grew up on a pig farm on Sand Mountain in the northeast corner of Alabama before being dragged kicking and screaming to the snow-infested plains of the American Midwest. He is a contributor to the Huffington Post, columnist for The Mountain Valley News, columnist for The Indie Times, Op-ed writer for The Walking Dead Fan Club, cartoonist, artist, and standup comedian. His work has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, and his scifi novel, Reternity, has won eight national awards and was named to Kirkus Reviews Best of 2011. Read more about him at
