Join Us for World Book Night! A Room of One's Own Bookstore is pleased to announce that we will serve as a distribution point for World Book Night! One million free books, representing 30 titles, will given away by 50,000 volunteer book lovers across the U.S. on World Book Night - April 23, 2012. Read more about the process at the WBN website, www.worldbooknight.org This event is free for anyone who wants to participate! All you have to do is sign up (here is the registration link), choose from the list of 30 great books, and describe what institution, charity, or underprivileged group you plan to donate 20 free copies of that book, and why! Then, in mid-April, stop by Room to pick up the 20 copies you plan to donate, and take them to be given out to their new owners. The registration process for those wishing to become volunteer book givers is open through February 1, 2012.
