Maxwell Street Days Annual Used Book Sale!

It's that time of year again! Maxwell Street Days is July 15, 16, & 17, and A Room of One's Own will once again be selling awesome used books at incredibly low prices! We are asking for your donation of used books to help us through the summer!

Room is pleased to announce that you can shop with us for Google eBooks!
We appreciates our customers' desire to read books in the format they prefer, and we are thrilled to finally be able to offer electronic books!

New Winter Hours

From January 1st through March 31st, A Room of One's Own will close at 7pm on weeknights. Our weekend hours will be unaffected.

Room will be open:
10:00-7:00 Monday-Friday
10:00-6:00 Saturday
12:00-5:00 Sunday

2011 Calendar Sale 20% off this weekend only!

This weekend we're having our annual calendar sale a little early, to kick the holiday season off with some savings for you!

We are giving 20% off all 2011 calendars on Friday, 11/19 through Sun. 11/21. Get your 2011 calendar while the selection is still great!

A Room of One's Own 35th Anniversary Celebration and "Madison Women Who Made A Difference" Wall Installation

Please join us for our 35th anniversary celebration on Sunday, May 9th at 2:00 pm at A Room of One's Own Bookstore.

We will provide sweets, tea, and coffee for this Mother's Day reception. There will be a suggested donation of $10 to benefit the Room of One's Own Foundation, our non-profit charity for supporting the education of women and girls.

Room of One's Own Foundation (R.O.O.F.)

R.O.O.F. is the non-profit educational wing of A Room of One's Own Bookstore. The foundation was established in 2006 as a public charity for the educational benefit of women and girls. Programs are supported by a gift from a local feminist and from donations from you!
