Workshop

A demonstration/skill-sharing event; more participatory than a reading.

WisCon: The World's Leading Feminist Science Fiction Convention!

WisCon is the world's leading feminist science fiction convention, held every year over Memorial Day weekend. WisCon
encourages discussion and debate of ideas relating to feminism,
gender, race and class. WisCon welcomes writers, editors and artists
whose work explores these themes as well as their many fans. We have
panel discussions, academic presentations, and readings as well as many
other uncategorizable events. WisCon is primarily a book-oriented

Anne Forbes, creator of The Wheels of Time and Place

The Wheels of Time and Place is a set of blank circular journals that you use to explore your home place and the home place in your heart. In creating your own wheels using the blank templates provided, you pay routine attention to cycles of day and night, phases of the moon, passing of the seasons, and your own growth and learning. The Wheels can serve as nature journals, storytelling journals, spiritual journals, or a combination.
